During Corona, I started painting to free myself from the oppressiveness of everyday life. I succeeded in doing this because from now on I could express many of my feelings with colors. Interpreting what I saw differently or simply letting the brush and spatula run free, losing track of time and not knowing where the journey will take me this time. I have found my new happiness in this since 2021. I often move between abstraction and realism, past and present, between memory and memories. With many of my works, I capture moments in time and inhabit them, only to lose myself in them later. Abstractly painted pictures make this easier for me. The fusion of ideas or thoughts and self-acquired techniques, inspired by the anticipation of what I have created, let me embark on a new journey every time. It always starts with an idea which gives way to feelings after the first few minutes. If I could put this process into words, I wouldn't know which one to choose. Each of my works contains my own memories, which each viewer sees with their own eyes and perhaps finds their own story in them. To understand art, you have to feel it! I also think that there is art everywhere, it's just that sometimes it remains hidden from view...

#what ?

What do I actually want to express with my art? First and foremost, I use it to express myself, process ideas and interpret what I see differently using colors and techniques. Feelings and emotions lie in every line and perhaps only become more visible in the overall picture when viewed by the viewer. That's often how I feel with my own works.

In the best case, I reach people and trigger emotions in them. The abstract painting technique can trigger many different emotions, because each individual sees something different in my works and perhaps gains access to them.

Different levels in the work itself, new techniques and a wide variety of color combinations result in a unique image every time.

However, the individual style always remains the same and so there is a recurring guiding principle in the very different pictures.

My works are impressive because of the depth they have created, despite the simplicity of the approach. Often playful, but still to the point and with a message: "Everyone sees art with their own eyes!" Each work has its own story and the clarity of where the journey will lead in the future is not yet certain, as I am still in the process, but still have the feeling that I have arrived.
